Fractal music and a webcomic without pictures
Stuff is going on, but there’s not much to be said right now. I’m working on Blind Dreaming’s new index, Advanced Blanked’s layout (which is apparently turning out very fine), a fanlisting for weasels, stuff for Dark Claws, some new artworks and an animation exam. I’ll let you see later.
In the meanwhile, some interesting stuff. I have just discovered about the existence of fractal music; check this out. I’ve searched the web for more but any site I’ve found is either long dead or has midi files which I can’t listen to, so if you happen to be interested in this kind of stuff you’ll have to google it yourself.
The same person who composed that piece I’ve linked to also runs a very interesting webcomic called Dreaming of Eden. Top-notch stuff, if you ask me; sounds a lot like Mewtwo in Myuutsuu no Gyakushuu. Listen to that piece of fractal music while reading this webcomic, it will all make more sense. Too bad it seems to be discontinued.
Hmm… I still can’t understand what fractal music really is :\ I searched fractal music on Wikipedia but it talks about music made with algorithms and I didn’t understand anything x_x
Some time ago I discovered fractal drawings, they’re awesome but also a bit scary, because they never end… I’ve also done a fractal drawing before I knew what they were (Sierpinski triangle).. Well, I’ve drawn many of them, I thought they were infinite Triforces xD
By the way, that music is… heavenly. It makes me feel in peace… and that comic… wow…

well fractal music is really like that, it’s made with the same algorythms that generate “visual” fractals, that’s why it feels so loopy. fractals are fascinating, that’s for sure.

Quella musica è stranamente pacifica, mi fa sentire calmo °w°, ed accoppiata al fumetto è fantastica °Q°
Ma parlavo di frattali, prima °w°.E’ figo vedere come ci sono esempi di frattali anche in natura (cfr.cavolo), anche se mi inquieta pensare che in fondo tutto è controllato dalla matematica @_@.
(non va inteso come “c’è un processo definito per tutto”, ma come “la natura si compone molto spesso seguendo algoritmi che rendono più agevole la vita e che variano continuamente, dato che subentrano sempre nuovi elementi, e se ne tolgono”).Non so se ho spiegato bene ciò che intendevo dire °w°.

aaah np blue, la vecchia me si sarebbe infuriata per la mancanza di commenti ma hai avuto la fortuna di non conoscere quella persona <)
sì, l’esistenza di frattali naturalmente formati mi ha sempre lasciato :O, i cavoli appunto sono incredibili, poi le conchiglie e boh qualcos’altro, è sorprendente. la matematica è - almeno in parte - una categorizzazione di leggi naturali più o meno come la fisica, quindi per come la vedo io il punto è che wow la natura sa essere pazzesca a volte. è curioso come poi con tutta questa perfezione ed armonia ci siamo noi umani che viviamo da parassiti dell’intero sistema, ma oltre questa considerazione si scade nell’ovvio, dunque andrò a guardare i cavoli
