daevion-01.jpg

Introducing Daevion. Born under the stars of the Ritual and therefore blessed by the goddess Mara, he belongs to the ancient race of the Altmer, the cultured, tall, magicka-gifted elves from Summerset Island.

Unlike many of his kin, he doesn’t think of himself as belonging to a superior race; while he’s certainly proud of his cultural heritage, he’s also well aware that it was the same advanced society that sent his mother in permanent exile on the mainland for being the offspring of an illegitimate union of her Altmer mother with an Imperial man, thus making her of impure blood and unworthy of living on Summerset. Daevion himself was born and spent his childhood in the Imperial City, considers himself like a citizen of the Empire to all extents, and believes that his kinsmen should begin to seriously rethink their core values instead of acting all haughty and collecting distrust from the other races.

Like all elves, Altmer can live longer than a thousand years. Daevion is 257 years old, which would make him about 26 in human years. He is always seen wearing a red vest which he took care in enchanting so to grant him greater magicka resources; one might say it’s his signature item of clothing, and it comes as no surprise that people in Cyrodiil have come to refer to him as “the crimson mage”.

daevion-04.jpg

Calm and of pleasant disposition, Daevion is well loved among gents and rulers alike; as an adventurer he’s always the first to lend a hand with dangerous jobs, and he has fame of being selfless and heroic. Even though he genuinely likes to be helpful, it must also be noted that he genuinely likes to go on adventure and get his hands on a good loot, so those claims are not completely true. Anyway, he is a sworn enemy of everything evil and believes in purging the world from wretchedness. He is especially concerned with freeing the world from the ones who live off harming other people, since they’re a hazard to society; he has no pity for bandits, necromancers, assassins and vampires.
Apart from these strong opinions, he tends to be a mild and forgiving person. He is cheerful in a quiet way - he greets people with a smile, but is never overly jumpy. It’s funny, cause even though he dislikes his stuck-up kinsmen, he can’t help but keep a certain Altmer poise.

Very spiritual, Daevion worships the Aedra in the Altmeri ways; most of his worship goes to Mara, who’s been protecting him since his birth, but he’s also devout to Zenithar, Kynareth, and - of course - Auriel. He also worships some Daedra princes; he is especially fascinated with the powers of Vaermina and Sheogorath. He thinks that sanity and madness are actually often overlapping, and he wishes to know more about this subtle balance. One of Daevion’s strongest motives is his unquenchable thirst for knowledge; this has often led him to follow the orders of some deities to better understand their sphere of influence and position in this world. However, he will not just blindly go on any quest: if there is evil, there must be deities connected to evilness, and he’s not going against his principles in exchange for knowledge which is best not to have.

In spite of being so intelligent and wise, Daevion is also very possessive as for what concerns his belongings and always looking for more to own and more money to make. He says that he likes to surround himself with beautiful things; the obvious truth is that he’s just plain avid. Also, because of his ability to talk himself out of any situation, he’s considered by some to have a manipulative streak - which is not entirely wrong, even though this is something that’s probably beyond his control.

daevion-02.jpg

Most Altmer are powerful sorcerers, and Daevion is no exception. He is especially skilled in bending reality with Alteration magic; he can open chests without even touching the lock, make heavy equipment weigh less than a feather, and transform his body at will so he can run across lakes or breathe underwater. His other specialty is using elemental Destruction magic to scorch, freeze, or electrocute his enemies. He’s also good at Illusion magic; however, he won’t use it for tricking people into following his orders - he just likes to use magical Light to illuminate dungeons and other dark places, and he has enough confidence in his skills that he just doesn’t care about giving away his position to enemies. Should things go wrong, he can anyway use his knowledge in matters of Restoration magic to heal himself and get back up. He is also good at Alchemy, a decent Mysticism scholar and knows the basics of Conjuration.

While his crimson robe is his most prominent piece of equipment, Daevion also wears a few enchanted pieces of jewelry that help him overcome the Altmeri weakness against elemental magic and grant him the ability to reflect spells and physical damage to the attacker.
When adventuring, he will usually keep a balance between charging in and taking his enemies down from a distance. When facing enemies wielding a blade or a blunt weapon, he will get very close so to cast spell directly at them while taking in hits to reflect right back at them; spellcasters are taken care of from a distance, because this way he can dodge their attacks with ease.

daevion-03.jpg

Daevion’s mount is a unicorn. Cliché much? It may seem so; the truth, however, is different. As ridiculous as it may sound, Daevion was exploring the Heartlands and just sort of stumbled upon him. Unicorns are aggressive creatures and will think of anyone in sight as a possible threat and will proceed to impale them; however, this one seemed to be friendly towards Daevion and let him jump on. Maybe it was because only a pure of heart can ride a unicorn, or maybe it was because Daevion wasn’t carrying any weapon besides his own magic; in either case, the two have been sharing a close bond since then.

The unicorn seems to be a wandering soul, as it will often walk away when Daevion dismounts. This causes him to be easily attacked by creatures or bandits, case in which his elven friend will hear his cries and come to the rescue. Sometimes the unicorn will run after deers and Daevion will play along and join him in the hunt. Why not? Venison tastes good.

daevion-house-01.jpgdaevion-house-02.jpgdaevion-house-03.jpgdaevion-house-04.jpg

As a result of his adventuring combined with his fine bartering skills, Daevion is very wealthy. He owns a large house in Cheydinhal, and even though he rarely stays indoors for more than a day he sure likes it there. He filled up his place with interesting items he happened to come across during his travels.

daevion-01.jpg

His calm expression. I noticed that the playing character in Oblivion can have an array of other facial expressions, but you will probably never notice since you’ll either be playing in a first-person perspective or only seeing your character’s back. In my experience, they can frown, yawn, look grave (like in the second screencap in this page) and smile.
Taking a guess, I’d say the frown is for when your character is in battle. The yawn may either be random or an idle pose, since I spotted Daevion yawning while he was waiting for Count Hassildor in Skingrad’s castle hall. The grave look…the only time I saw it was at the time of that screencap: at the end of Vaermina’s quest, looking at Arkved drowning in his nightmare. I’m sure it’s a separate expression and not the default face, but why should that even exist anyway? I’m not sure about the smile either, it may have something to do with disposition but I’ve not noticed any consistent behavior. Oh well.

what
I-I think I like my own character, is that a bad thing?

woah that was a massive post :o as a side note, I think I may suffer from the blank page syndrome. I could go on writing forever when no one cares, but when I want to write a lot I get stuck and end up procrastinating. The worst part is that this happens no matter how much I actually want to write, and this may also be why I don’t write stuff for ATP as often as I’d like. I should find a way around this.

on other news I moved to an apartment and I’m loving it :D well, except for the current lack of internet connection, but this is only a temporary issue
I think I’ll post pictures when we’ll be finished with assembling the furniture! we chose some freakin awesome stuff. our living room table is white with black chairs with white cushions and looks fantastic; the table for the room, on the other hand, is going to be plain badass. black with red legs. the best part being that it was my roommate to suggest the color combination, figure that.
BUT LOOK AT ME, GETTING ALL EXCITED ABOUT FURNITURE soon I’ll find myself going nuts over new curtains and I’ll get in the news as the first person to become an elderly at nineteen years of age

Assholes.

Today I saw VG again after all these months. I was looking forward to this day with excitement. I’m very happy to be with him again.
However, this is not what this entry is about.

After he left in train, I was to take the subway home. I was getting down the stairs when, about ten metres away from me, I saw a man tripping on an elderly beggar. The latter fell over and since he looked rather fragile I thought he could have gotten something broken, but then the man who tripped on him refused to help him and began yelling all sorts of obscenities, basically calling the beggar a human scum and a waste of existence. The thing went on for at least a few minutes, then the elder tried to defend himself saying he would have called the police or something, at which the other replied threatening him; then he went away.

As for me, I was frozen there for the whole time. I would have really said something to that horrible person, but what if he turned violent? I was feeling weak for all the walking and the hot weather, and that man was twice my size. I feel a bit angry for not being able to do anything useful, but I keep telling myself that after all it’s not my fault if I wasn’t feeling good; were I in my usual shape, I would have had nothing to fear. I expected someone else to defend the beggar, but all the other people kept walking like nothing was happening - if something, they were speeding up. No one else seemed to care.

And this may feel like a rhetorical question, but seriously: what’s wrong with people? Seriously.

  • the world I draw is soft and silent like the day after the end of the world, when exposed lies become dazed smiles, but no one’s left to see
  • in the world I draw, nothing is really extraordinary: like in an usual acid trip for the bored, weird stuff is bound to happen and is nothing but a routine
  • the world I draw has no people looking any more alive than people in the one in which I walk. yesterday people were partying in the road, and I was looking at the beautiful patterns of shrieking swifts and clouds at sunset: I stupidly thought my soul was more alive than theirs, but, just like them, I wasn’t allowed to scream in awe. I wonder when people began thinking it was an unappropriate thing to do
  • the world I draw actually has no real people: they bear resemblance to human beings, but they are actually more like the very idea of them, but at times they don’t look like them at all
  • the world I draw is usually devoid of pointless words, and when there are words they are often to illustrate pointlessness
  • the world I draw often experiences loss of interest in existing or being coherent to itself
  • the world I draw is a survivor to my own dread and shame
  • my world is somehow filled with the happiness which was stashed under a brick and promptly forgotten (I did that too).

Electivire, fucking your Pokémon since 2006

( June 23, 2009 - 1:20 pm, filed under hall of changes, none of the above, personal, random, websites, tagged as , , , , , )

30+ IN CONTEMPORARY ART HISTORY FUCK YEAH. Especially because much of this success was determined by me making a large painting inspired from the work of Francis Bacon. The teacher was so impressed he even gave me a free book. So apparently my childish and anatomically impossible drawings are worth a 30+ and a free book. In your ass. :>

Even though I shouldn’t be taking such people too seriously, maybe I should really try and write down my views on art, especially as to why I deliberately choose to draw roughly and mostly ignoring anatomy. It’s not like I’m not able to make beautiful realistic drawings, you know. I just found a bunch of old stuff including a self-portrait I drew at fifteen and man, it does look nice. I’ll be scanning all that old stuff from 2004-2005 - those drawings that got lost with the HD failure and some which went lost ages before that (including the Sneasel pic who graced the very first layout of Angeltower Page). I’m also rescanning my old Pokémon comic whose pages seem to be currently located in the dark side of the interwebs - I even found some unpublished pages, so you may be in for a surprise.

And talking about comics, I’d really like to make another Pokémon comic. I’ve already been planning it out. It will be a comic divided in three or four short episodes each one focusing on a different aspect of the relationship between Pokémon and people.
The first one will take place before Pokémon and people became two different species and it will be about a little girl and his grampa. The old man discovers he can keep his niece’s life energy in a ball he created out of an Apricorn, so they play together with this toy - except that, with the passing of time, the old man becomes more and more scared of his child outgrowing their game, and ends up becoming eerily obsessive…
The second one will take place in the present and will be about a Trainer and a Fearow who fall in love for each other, thus compromising the whole training system and posing some interesting question on their relationship.
The third one will be about a “real world” girl playing Pokémon and getting emotionally attached to the creatures.
I do seem to have a predilection for real weird stuff. In case you were asking. :P

Also, I just got approved for the making of the Fearow fanlisting! Yeah Fearow. It took me a whole ten years to understand its greatness |D Sneasel is sticking to the position of favorite Pokémon ever, then Mewtwo, Porygon-Z and Fearow in no particular order. The fanlisting’s name will be Soaring Dread and it will feature an illustration of mine in the layout. I PROMISE IT’S GOING TO LOOK NICE

As for the new Hall of Changes layout I changed idea three times, then got what looks like my best layout ever. It looks so awesome that I cannot believe it was me to create it. It will feature Samus and the Orion Nebula! What can possibly go wrong? :D

Anyway, this post was really about…ME SINGING KAZE TO ISSHO NI. DUN DUN DUUUN. I would have posted Niji ga Umareta Hi too but the laptop mic wouldn’t record the high-pitched scream at the end which was supposed to show my leet singing skillz. Hahaha. As you will have understood by now, the recording is quite low-quality, but I’m so awesome so it should not be a problem. SARCASM.
Here’s the recording. My voice does sound weird in places but that’s because by the “ikutsomono deai, ikutsumono wakare” I was crying like a baby. Kaze to Issho Ni always gets to me. :<

Let me end this entry with my latest weird dream. Involving me saving a beautiful woman with long fair hair by a number of weird situations throughout some really colorful and detailed worlds. And having hot sex with her afterwards. Ten times. And because this dream was half-lucid, I could make her boobs larger whenever I wanted to. My dreams are, indeed, better than yours. Live with it. XD

THIS WAS ONE HELL OF A DAY

I went with Irene at the Pokémon Event in Milan’s Science and Technology Museum. It was about giving away Shaymin and showing the 11th movie but hey, I was there for the gadgets and all the Pokémon nerds

and believe me, there was PLENTY of both. We came that the event hadn’t even begun and there already was a line which was so long it went all across the square in front of the museum and kept going on in the street. Amazing. Plus I think I spotted a person I used to be very close friends with when I was fourteen or the like. And he lives in my hometown in southern Italy, about 900 kms away from Milan. Yeah, I thought I was just imagining things, but I saw his little sister and dad too. Very awkward. Then we got in, and I never saw them again. WHAT.

130609-event-01.jpg

This was taken right away when we got there, so just think about how crowded it got later. we took some keychains, a Giratina figure (the one Italy didn’t get on the preorders because we just have to suck), a balloon, oh and Shaymin too. I couldn’t get any because of me owning the US versions but I couldn’t really care less. also, there was a silly game in which the kids had to answer some Pokémon-related questions with animal cries or something like that and we were seriously considering getting in as SKUNKS. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME

then I got all electrified and decided to call Jeel to join us in the awesomeness but he wasn’t there to answer so I called Cercatesori instead. He was chilling out on the beach, but Irene’s better than the sea! :O
then we decided to draw epic Pokémon battles on my sketchbook and they were epic indeed.
KIDS WERE CHEERING
I must scan them asap

130609-event-02.jpg

MEET THE LEGEND
PFFT I SAY
WE ARE THE TRUE LEGENDS.

then we went to the cinema and waited for the movie to begin, we had some fun in the Union Room and it was actually sweet to draw together until some douchebag came in and began erasing everyone’s drawings and writing “:°°°°D”. Ah, the Internet morons. Someone’s needing a heavy spanking here. Assholes >(
Then we watched Giratina and the Sky Warrior and woah. I wasn’t expecting anything great but it turned out to be a fine movie indeed. If just they cut out all those crappy CG cinematics and kept going traditional all the way, because some backgrounds and visuals were actually pretty amazing, especially on a big screen. I have a newfound respect for Shaymin now because he’s such a dick and I like that in a Pokémon. Best part, Shaymin screaming like he was being butt-raped and Brock going “IT’S REALLY HUGE!” in such a voice lol, I was laughing so hard I couldn’t even breathe
also it was only me or Zero and Newton do have quite a shipping thing going on? they had some scenes in which I couldn’t help but wonder. Also Newton was such an adorable dork :>
Seriously though it was a beautiful movie with a nice story. I almost cried at the end and this is coming from miss tougher-than-a-sailor so :(

130609-event-03.jpg

then we went off to explore the museum since the visit was free for us and it was pretty cool, there were some awesome things on display:

130609-event-04.jpg

A BOAT

130609-event-05.jpg

A VAPOREON-POWERED LOCOMOTIVE
fuck yes there were boats and planes and trains and

130609-event-06.jpg

I’ve been meaning to do that since forever and now it’s one thing less my before-I-die list

130609-event-07.jpg

GOD I’M IN LOVE WITH THOSE THINGS

130609-event-08.jpg

Irene is superior and sexier than those trains.

130609-event-13.jpg

I dare you to look wackier than this.

130609-event-09.jpg

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, A MAGMARIZER!

then we went back to the Pokémon section and omg, are those shirts? we ran to get ours and we got the VERY LAST ONES. GOD.
we put them on (missing my only chance to look at Irene’s boobs XD) and then

130609-event-10.jpg

130609-event-11.jpg

IT KICKS ASS
even if it’s ridiculously huge, ok I like shirts to be large but this is too much even for me, lol
also this shirt confused many a kid, they thought we were of the staff and hahaha

130609-event-12.jpg

IRENE’S LOOT and mine too but whatever
the Giratina figure is fantastic
fun fact: I got wounded while trying to open the keychain’s bag. SUDDENLY, BLOOD ON MY FINGERS I’m such a disaster

it was mid-afternoon when we finally got to eat. I hadn’t eaten anything since the previous evening and I was quite hungry :O we had a nice meal with ZUKANS
Irene got the Feraligatr she wanted and I got Entei and RAIKOU :D

it was awesome man
also, check out Irene’s version too

pokémon meme

( June 5, 2009 - 2:53 am, filed under personal, tagged as , )

not been updating here because of sudden chaos in life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m feeling great, it’s just that SUDDEN CHAOS, boom

HOWEVER, POKÉMON MEME. STOLEN FROM GUESS WHO? IRENE THAT’S RIGHT

1. Who is your favorite Pokémon?
Absolute favorite: Sneasel
Kanto/Generation I: Mewtwo and Fearow
Johto/Generation II: Sneasel (duh)
Hoenn/Generation III: Absol maybe? there’s a lot of them which I adore (Sableye, Aggron, Altaria…)
Sinnoh/Generation IV: Porygon-Z
Grass starter: Torterra
Fire starter: Blaziken
Water starter: Blastoise
Eeveelution: Flareon maybe? I actually like all of them in the same measure
Legendary Pokémon: Mewtwo
Starter in basic form: Bulbasaur
Starter at stage 2: Charmeleon and Grovyle
Starter at Stage 3: Blaziken

2. Why do you like your absolute favorite?
it’s a DARK WEASEL WITH HUGE CLAWS
although thinking of it heh, Sneasel is one of those Pokémon which took me a very long time to warm up to. I didn’t use to care about Sneasel until about five years ago or the like; before Sneasel, my favorite was Rayquaza because I was in love with its design. With Sneasel, I’d say it’s both because of its design and because I tend to associate myself with weasels for a number of reasons, but I don’t know if my love for weasels came after or before my love for Sneasel.

3. What is your favorite type of Pokémon? Why?
Dark and Steel, for obvious reasons.

4. If you were a Pokémon, what would you be?
lol

5. What would be the first Pokémon you catch on your journey? (Name one for each region.)
Kanto: Weedle
Johto: Hoppip
Hoenn: Ralts
Sinnoh: Shinx

6. Name your dream team. (Any region)
I adore too many Pokémon to have a dream team.

7. How long have you been interested in Pokémon?
Since it first came out in Italy. I followed the anime and collected Pokémon pictures with my cousins, then we started making our fakes, our very own Pokémon card game… During the second year of middle school I remember trying to quit Pokémon because the kids in school were making fun of me, but in the end I didn’t really care about their opinion and I liked Pokémon more than them anyway, so I got hooked again. Then I began actually playing the games and you know the tale.

8. What do you value more, the games or the toys?
The games.

9. What games do you have?
You mean, the ones that I physically own? Then it would be Snap, Mystery Dungeon, Diamond and Platinum.

10. What is your favorite plush? Figure? Game?
Plush: 2003 limited Absol (I KEEP IT BESIDE MY BED)
Figure: dunno
Game: Crystal, Platinum

11. Name your top 5 least favorite Pokémon.
Aipom, Wormadam, Regigigas, Blissey, Snubbull? in any order
no not really, Aipom has always been my least favorite and I’ve come to hate it even more

12. What is your most favorite and least favorite regions?
Favorite: Sinnoh
Least favorite: Kanto (SHUT UP IT’S SO BORING)

13. Do you like anthropomorphic (human-like) Pokémon (Pokémorphs)?
Sometimes. Other times they make me want to shoot myself

14. What Pokémorph species would you want to be?
…and that’s what I meant

15. What is your favorite moment in the Pokémon anime?
I don’t really care. (I’ll care only when Volkner and Flint will show up, lol)

16. Which feature in any Pokémon game do you enjoy the most? (e.g. multiplayer battles, contests, day/night system, etc.)
…tell me I’m lame but…the little IV-based personality profiles in DPP were so sweet

17. What is your favorite Pokémon song(s) (or song used in the Pokémon animé and movies)?
Game soundtrack: Raikou/Entei/Suicune battle, Kanto Gym Leader battle (GSC), DPP Trainer battle
Anime songs: Mesaze Pokémon Master, Kaze to Issho ni

18. What is your favorite Pokémon movie?
Myuutsuu no Gyakushuu
which is also my favorite movie, lol

19. Do you prefer Pokémon that are powerful or Pokémon that have a good design (in other words, good looks)?
WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THIS

20. Quick! What is your most random thought (that’s clean) of a Pokémon doing something that humans do?
A MUK WATCHING SOAP OPERAS
THAT WOULD BE HILARIOUS

21. Tag 5 people.
feel free to snatch this

Platinum team, aka The shit parade

( April 26, 2009 - 2:28 pm, filed under artworks, personal, tagged as , )

PLATINUM TEAM!
currently missing its sixth member which I have yet to meet :)

stainless-01.jpg

Stainless. I couldn’t really choose again Turtwig this time and didn’t want a Chimchar, so I had to go with Piplup. Except that I hate Piplup. I don’t mind Prinplup and I like Empoleon, but Piplup…blargh.
So I chose a Piplup wishing for him to evolve as soon as possible. I asked him to battle against Pearl’s Turtwig, and he lost. I just went back, healed him and rushed for the tall grass asking him to battle again. And he lost again. I began to feel upset, and suddenly I got it. It wasn’t him. It was me. How could I ask him to battle for me when I couldn’t even look at his face? I just saw him as a future Empoleon, not as the Piplup he was. I was not any better than the people I disliked, and what made me feel really sick was the fact I knew I was more concerned about my image than this Piplup, who trusted me in a sort of a blind way and whose trust had been betrayed from the very beginning.

Somehow, we got to Sandgem. I had to meet Rowan knowing that I failed him, and I failed Piplup. I entered the lab and handed the Pokémon back. Rowan looked at him, and said he had already bonded with me. That was because he saw in me what I could have become, not the jerk I had been to him. In a way, he learned from me; but while I wanted him to become an Empoleon because I disliked him as a Piplup, he wanted me to become a better person because he knew I disliked myself for what I had become.
I named him Stainless for his nobleness and I promised him that I would have done my best to become the person he saw in me. Even trying to be what he envisioned would have been enough.

Stainless is very shy and can be a bit short-tempered. This is because his high morals bring him to be quite judgmental over how other Pokémon behave, and tends to be easily angered by them not behaving how he thinks they should. He hardly forgives other Pokémon’s mistakes, probably because he knows he wouldn’t forgive himself if he was the one making such mistakes and ends up measuring any other Pokémon by his meter. We could say he has quite an ego. However, he usually doesn’t voice his opinion and keeps his reasonings for himself; also, his judgment doesn’t usually extends over people too. It’s more of a neurosis of his than else, actually.

arcadia-01.jpg

Arcadia. I’m not really that big on horses, but there was something that clicked on that Ponyta and besides I couldn’t keep on training only one Pokémon forever, so that was it. Arcadia is currently the only female in an all-male group, but she doesn’t really care, because no Pokémon in the team is going to treat her differently because of that. In fact, if they dared to, she’d probably crush them to pieces.

If Stainless can be somewhat prone to anger, Arcadia has the shortest temper ever. She gets furious for, well, almost everything. Don’t try to argue with her if you like to be alive. Actually, even calmly talking with her can make her go on a rampage. She is easier to deal with when communicating with her in non-verbal ways, but you have to be good at it, else you’ll just annoy her. She also has a reputation for never caring about her own business and gossiping about everything, but obviously no one can object at that either.

Arcadia is very concerned about battling and getting better at it. She likes to think of herself as an invincible warrior respected and feared by everyone, and somehow she fits the role. She scorns friendship and claims that emotions only get in her way, but she’s able to pull off some nice teamwork nevertheless. It’s mostly her trying to have some attitude, actually.
She seems to have less temper tantrums when with Rigel, who has similar interests as her.

(also please don’t say anything about her in the drawing - this is my best attempt at a horse ever. I cannot draw horses to save my life)

rigel-01.jpg

Rigel. I got an Eevee from Bebe, and he was so friendly and eager to battle that I thought, why not giving him a chance? I named him Rigel, like the brightest star in the constellation of Orion, because as an Eevee he was sparkling with possibilities (yeah, Stainless-related, I know). I didn’t really know how to evolve him though, I had already trained an Espeon and a Glaceon and didn’t want an Umbreon or a Leafeon, so I went to the Underground to dig up an evolutionary stone, using the first one I would have obtained. I was hoping for a Thunderstone, and a Thunderstone was what I got :)

Rigel is naturally bright, cheerful and welcoming to everyone; not even Arcadia can be too angry when he’s around. Not unlike her, he’s addicted to not doing his own business, but his behavior is very rarely complained because he’s just too nice to deserve bitter remarks. Stainless seems to be irritated by his nosiness, but seldom to never lets his emotions be known.
Rigel is incredibly good-natured and seems to never get disappointed over anything. He will even faint with a smile, because he knows that to be a better fighter he has to lose and learn from his defeats too. Arcadia just cannot understand how can a dedicated fighter like him accept defeat, but their common love for battling usually transcends their different views on the subject.

Rigel has a thing for smelling everything and seems to be able to recognize when his opponents are most likely to attack through their smell. He thinks this is because of his mother being an Espeon.

meta-01.jpg

Meta. In spite of him being a sentient man-made Pokémon, he’s actually very calm and collected. He has a very philosophical outlook on life and believes that, even if he’s just an experiment gone awry, he has no reason to freak out because he thinks the only difference between him and other Pokémon is that, while they either believe Arceus or Mew created their species or they don’t know where they come from, he’s sure of his origins and has nothing to object about being created by a man, just like other Pokémon have nothing to object about being created by a deity. When someone tells him that deities have their own reasons to create species and men created him only for experimenting purposes, he replies that if men replicated in him part of the biostructure on which Pokémon are based on, then he too must be part of the creation, somehow.
Meta is strongly religious, and is especially devoted to Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf; he believes that his final upgrade was imbued with their powers. He also feels thankful to his creators and wishes to meet them someday, for he thinks they must have received some sort of divine power to program it the way it is, with his glitches and everything. He believes his glitches are what allow him to be really alive and not just a complex machine as they give him the chance to shape his unique personality basing on how he perceives his software skips.

As any other Virtual Pokémon, Meta is able to merge with the Internet and revert to pure data form. Which is also why he’s addicted to porn.

windrider-01.jpg

Windrider. He was the scout of a group of Sneasels near Snowpoint City. It was the coldest winter they ever had; unable to find any food, they were slowly dying one by one. Windrider was the one in charge to explore the nearby peaks for some source of food. He found a beautiful warm oasis with plenty of food for them to feed until exhaustion; but before telling the other members of his group, he wanted to spend a day in that paradise with a special someone, a female Sneasel from another group who was very hungered and whose heart was trying to win since time…The two groups were allied, so he feared nothing and went to inform his love of the discovery. She accepted to meet him the next evening on a place they both knew so that he could lead her from there to the oasis he found. Windrider went to spend the day in the place he found, waiting for time to pass so he could meet her love. At the hour they set for the meeting he went to wait for her, but she didn’t show up. He left the mountains for the valley where the two groups lived, and then he saw it.
Apparently, someone from his group overheard their secret conversation and went to slay everyone to get the position of the oasis Windrider had discovered, without success. And the Sneasels in the other group defended theirselves killing everyone in the other. They were allies, but hunger does not care for such things. Windrider was the only living between the slaughtered corpses of everyone he knew and cared about.

Windrider left that place, it was too hard for him to fend for himself knowing what happened, the guilt his companion. He doesn’t care about evolving, he fears that if his body changed then something else would change within him and he would develop a split-personality between him as a Weavile and him as a Sneasel with everything he caused. Because of his trauma, he has developed an irrational fear of becoming mad and he tries his best to keep himself sane.

Him and Meta get really along. However, Windrider is developing something more for his friend, which obviously upsets him to no end.

VG dubbed this team “the shit parade” because everyone in this team seems to have some degree of neuroticism. Even that Scyther I got to train her later, she’s both serious and vain. what.
This shit parade defeated the League being ten levels weaker than Cynthia’s Pokémon, so I have taken pride in calling them like that. I think I have really bonded with them.

I like you so much I badmouthed you!

been working on the Hall of Changes lately; it’s almost done. I don’t know when you’re going to see it online because I’ve got to study for a row of four exams in a week, but it will eventually be.

Also, I’m getting a new laptop very soon. The hard disk failure was but the beginning; now not only I cannot close this pc’s screen anymore, it opens at 180° unless I put something behind it and it flashes like mad because it doesn’t even make contact anymore. :/
I’m getting the red one. It will be a bit smaller and a lot lighter than this = it will fit into my bag so I will be able to bring it to school without a broken back :D

In the meanwhile, artworks:

self.jpg

This was supposed to be some kind of “serious” self-portrait but I’d say it looks more like me this way.

volkner-01.jpg

this is only the beginning of a shower of Volkner and Flint fan art. You know, in the beginning I disliked Volkner because I thought he was the typical angsty cardboard character, but then I was surprised to see how cheerful he is in Platinum. good job with getting rid of stereotypes, Game Freak. also good job at making those two look even gayer than before, lol.
NEXT UP: A FANLISTING FOR THOSE TWO

TOLD YOU
man I’m so proud of this :D I’m putting this in the Hall of Changes as part of the layout

goodbye

silly, but funny

Have a look at this and this and, if you feel like it, fill them for me. I’m not really one for these social thingies but I saw Nelvis’ one and wanted to give it a shot, so.
Also, the main site has a lot more to offer. If you like random word generators, you’re bound to like the Prior-Art-O-Matic, to say one. I don’t know, just have a look.

yeah I know, stuff to write. Would you like to read first about that anime and manga rant, CSS ideas about fixed backgrounds or my latest musical discovery? I told you I had a variety of topics to write about. :O

a contorsionist is a good thing to be

so I got a new hard disk and decided to install Ubuntu as my main OS, leaving Windows XP just in the case. Want to see what I got after setting everything up?

desktop-01.jpg

how more awesome than this a desktop can get? answer: NOT MUCH.

Also, getting back to your computer and finding this wtf-inducing thing in your mail is just mindblowing, as well as taking this test and getting this result, knowing that’s actually the truth. what.

Yesterday I was also thinking: does the perception of déjà vu change over time? Because I feel like my déjà vus are becoming a lot less vivid over time. When I was a child I had some déjà vus which were so strong that I remember the precise circumstances in which they happened even now, there was that one that happened on a Monday while cutting a steak and I went all OMG OMG THIS JUST CANNOT BE A DÉJÀ VU IT’S SO REAL and my dad was all ow ow calm down
The one I had yesterday was but a faint feeling, though :O

I’ll be posting new artworks later, along with a (long-winded) rant about manga and anime spawned from a talk I had with VG about a week ago.
